Tuberculosis Treatment in India through Home Remedies

Tuberculosis or TB is a highly contagious disease and its infection can also spread to other parts of the body like your brain and spine. The microbes that cause TB are bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Of course, it needs a medical treatment for a course of 6 to 9 months for a successful recovery. But you can also have some home remedies for tuberculosis treatment in India together with medication as this disease is stubborn one to deal with. 2. Garlic

Garlic is the sure shot treatment formula of Tuberculosis as it inhibits the proliferation of the tuberculosis bacteria. It happens because of the antimicrobial properties of allicin (a compound found in garlic). You can simply help yourself by adding two teaspoon of minced garlic to your diet on daily basis in the situation of TB. Alternatively, you can chew one clove of garlic in morning time daily.

3. Essential Oils

With the increase in drug-resistant TB which Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria causes, it has now become important to find more natural and effective ways to treat this worldwide health concern. Undoubtedly, Essential oils from three different plants native to Colombia have shown to have antimicrobial activity against drug-resistant TB. These are Salvia aratocensisTurnera diffusa(Damiana) and Lippia americana. All these three different types of essential oils have showed a potential in fighting TB. But Salvia aratocensis is the most powerful of the three oils.

Interestingly, some other more popular essential oils that have shown their strength in fighting tuberculosis include eucalyptus and lemon eucalyptus essential oil. Since TB spreads from person to person via air, it definitely makes sense that diffusing an anti-TB essential oil could be helpful.

4. Vitamin D

Extensively, at least two scientific studies have linked vitamin D to successful prevention and treatment of tuberculosis. Vitamin D appears to activate toll-like receptors (TRLs) that trigger “direct antimicrobial activity against intracellular bacteria” including the bacteria that causes TB. So, vitamin D seems to play a substantial role in helping the body to successfully fight off major diseases like TB. It kills off the bacteria that cause them.

Naturally, one can take vitamin D from the sun. Some people like being in the sun too, but the ones who do no should even try to spend some time out in sun. It can help you in the problem of TB.

Help From Doctor–

You should always take help from the doctor in case of Tuberculosis or TB because it spreads with time. The main symptom is if you keep coughing for more than a week or two, you should without any delay meet your doctor. Once it is diagnosed, you can follow the above mentioned home remedies. In addition, it is always good to keep an eye on your diet to stay healthy. So, even if you are not sick, you can try to include all the above said items and things in your diet.
